1.7 Forecast Market Changes

The Tweed area is forecast to enjoy a continuing long-term growth over the 2 decades between 2001 and 2021, with a forecast growth of over 6,000 residents in each five year period.

The Tweed area is expected to grow substantially from its current estimated population of 49,000 to over 70,000 by 2021. This represents a growth rate slightly below the overall Gold Coast Tweed growth rate over the forecast period.
