Tweed Heads Draft Masterplan

Public Display took place on 11 May to 31 May 2004.

The feedback from the public display (11 May to 31 May 2004) was taken into account by the Taskforce prior to making final recommendation in relation to the Masterplan and the revitalisation action plan

The Masterplan was launched by Minister Diane Beamer Minister Assisting the Minister for Infrastructure and Planning (Planning Administration) on Friday 27 August 2004 at The Southern Cross University at Tweed Heads Civic/Campus precinct.

What Happens Next?

• The Implementation of the Masterplan will be co-coordinated by a project facilitation Team consisting of representative from Tweed Shire Council, the Department of Planning, the Department of State and Regional Development and the Tweed Economic Development Corporation. The Team will provide advice key stakeholders, the community, public and private agencies and Tweed Shire Council on the implementation process of the Masterplan.
  
  
• The Project Facilitation Team will continue to work closely with Tweed shire Council and the community during the implementation period of the Masterplan to provide the opportunity for residents, traders and the business community to discuss the proposals and the detail design concepts for the Town Centre and to provide feedback to the Council and state government agencies.
